By accessing, browsing, or using our website and browser-based photo conversion software tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
DropHEIC provides a free, client-side browser utility that enables users to convert High Efficiency Image Format files (.heic and .heif) into standard web-compatible formats including JPEG, PNG, WebP, and PDF. The service operates locally within your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly technology without uploading files to remote servers.
3. Use of Service & Acceptable Use
DropHEIC is provided free of charge for personal, commercial, and educational use, subject to the following conditions:
- Lawful Use Only: You agree to use DropHEIC only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- No Reverse Engineering or Harmful Interference: You agree not to attempt to disrupt, exploit, overload, or inject malicious code, scripts, or corrupt file payloads into our web infrastructure or client application.
- No Automated Scraping / Abuse: While automated browser scripts are not restricted for personal workflows, abusing our web endpoints or embedding DropHEIC inside unauthorized iframe wrappers with deceptive ads is strictly prohibited.
4. Intellectual Property & File Ownership
a. User Content Ownership
You retain 100% full ownership and intellectual property rights to all images, photos, and files you select, process, or convert using DropHEIC. DropHEIC claims zero copyright, ownership, or licensing rights over your content. Because conversion runs locally in your browser memory, we never store or copy your files.
b. DropHEIC Website & Software Rights
The visual design, brand assets, logos, codebases, custom UI components, text content, and graphics comprising DropHEIC are the exclusive intellectual property of DropHEIC and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and web software laws.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
DropHEIC is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free performance.
While we strive to provide 100% reliable, lossless, and accurate image conversions, we do not guarantee that:
- The service will meet your exact requirements or perform uninterrupted on all legacy web browser configurations.
- Image conversion results will be completely error-free in cases of corrupted source file inputs or unsupported HEVC/HEIF codec variations.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall DropHEIC, its creators, developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including without limitation loss of data, loss of profits, device corruption, or business interruption—arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the service.
